Directions for your arrival to Camp Stand By Me

Driving from I-5 (North or South)

Please Note: Some GPS devices do not have service in the rural area where we are located. We suggest printing directions. If you choose to print specific directions Google Maps, they may neglect to tell you to turn right onto Olson Dr. from Key Peninsula Hwy.  The directions will say to turn directly onto 92nd St. KPN. 

  1. Take the WA-16/Gig Harbor/Bremerton exit.
  2. Continue on WA-16 W, crossing the Narrows Bridge (13.1 mi)
  3. Take the WA-302 W / Purdy / Key Center exit onto Purdy Dr. NW (WA-302) (1.3 mi)
  4. Turn left at the stoplight (WA-302). (5.3 mi)
  5. Continue on Key Peninsula Hwy KPN (when WA-go straight through the light and continue on Key Peninsula Hwy.) (2.8 mi)
  6. Turn right at the stop light in Key Center onto Olson Drive. (0.1 mi)
  7. Go 0.1 miles.  Olson Drive will curve to the right.  Bear left onto 92nd St. (watch for oncoming traffic)
  8. Turn left onto South Vaughn Rd NW when you come to the T at the bottom of the hill. (about 500 feet)
  9. The main road will curve to the left and become Lackey Rd.  Do not follow the road up the hill!  Instead, bear right to remain on South Vaughn Rd NW (0.7 mi)
  10. You will see a red and white sign for Easter Seals Camp Stand by Me on the left side of the road.  Park in the gravel parking lot on the right. (Camp is on the right side of the road)

Directions from the Bremerton Ferry

  1. Follow Hwy. 304 signs toward Shelton and Hwy. 3.
  2. Hwy. 3 will go uphill toward Belfair/Shelton.  (2.2 mi)
  3. Follow Hwy. 3, pass the Bremerton Airport on left, to Lake Flora Rd.
  4. Turn left onto Lake Flora Road and drive through the wood areas (3.5 miles) to a roundabout intersection.
  5. Turn right onto J M Dickenson Road SW, which becomes Carney Lake Road then Wright Bliss Road.
  6. Continue to the 4-way intersection of Elgin Clifton and Wright Bliss Road (7.1 miles).  A gas station will be on your left.
  7. Continue straight through this intersection on Wright Bliss Road until you get to another 4-way stop (1.5 miles).
  8. Go straight at the 4-way stop at Olsen Dr.  You will pass the Key Peninsula Civic Center and go over a small bridge.
  9. The main road will curve to the left and become Lackey Rd.  Do not follow the road up the hill!  Instead, bear right to remain on South Vaughn Rd NW (.7 mi)
  10. You will see a red and white sign for Easter Seals Camp Stand by Me on the left side of the road.  Park in the gravel parking lot on the right. (Camp is on the right side of the road)
