With more than 15 years at Easterseals Washington, Amanda has worn a few different hats along the way. With a Bachelor of Science in Applied Developmental Psychology from Eastern Washington University, Amanda began her Easterseals Washington journey as a Lead Infant Teacher before moving into the role of Child Development Center Program Director. Today, she brings that wealth of experience and a deep understanding of our mission to her work as Operations and Program Support Manager.
When she’s not supporting Easterseals Washington programs, you can probably find Amanda cheering on the Seattle Mariners (win or lose, she’s a fan for life!), spending time with her husband and doting on her cat, or dreaming up her next set of travel plans (preferably ones involving the Oregon Coast, a train ride through Europe, or eating gelato in Italy!).
Amanda often remembers these words of Henry Ford: “When everything seems to be going against you, remember that the airplane takes off against the wind, not with it.” It’s a reminder that challenges can help us move forward, even when the path ahead isn't easy.
For Amanda, working at Easterseals Washington is about something bigger than a job. She believes inclusion isn't hard to accomplish - it just takes a little effort, thoughtfulness, and a willingness to make room for everyone. She's proud to be part of an organization that puts that belief into action and works every day to make the world a more inclusive place for all.
