Inspiring Limitless Possibilities

On Saturday, September 27th, Easterseals Washington hosted its first ever Fall Fest: Pints for Possibilities at the Fremont Brewery Urban Beer Garden. With over 100 dedicated supporters in attendance, the evening was a heartfelt celebration of community and empowering limitless possibilities for people of all abilities. 

Raising a Pint for Possibility

Guests enjoyed an evening of craft brews and cider from Fremont Brewing, delicious appetizers from Old Ballard Catering Co., and a silent auction featuring thrilling experiences and artwork created by Easterseals Washington’s program participants. The highlight of the night was a powerful “Raise Your Pint” moment, which symbolized our shared commitment to expanding what’s possible for those we serve. 

Stories that Inspire

One of the most moving moments came from John Schupp, a T-Mobile Foundation volunteer and parent of Joe, who was diagnosed with autism at age three and has attended Easterseals Camp Stand By Me for many years.

Honoring Legacy and Impactful Service

We were proud to present the inaugural Easterseals Washington Legacy Award to Harbor Covenant Church, located in Pierce County, recognizing over 15 years of dedicated volunteer support and financial contributions for Camp Stand By Me. The award was presented by our Board Secretary, Faye Chess, in a touching tribute to the church’s enduring commitment to service. 

Art that Speaks Volumes

A standout feature of the evening was the art displays and silent auction, showcasing original pieces created by participants from Easterseals Washington programs across the state. Each center took a unique approach to their artwork, reflecting the creativity of the individuals we serve. 

Guests admired a wide range of mediums, from vibrant acrylic paintings to mixed-media collages. The artwork not only added beauty to the event, but also told powerful stories of self-expression, growth, and community. Each piece represents the heart of our mission and the individuality of our programs. 

The Possibilities Wall

Another deeply meaningful element of Fall Fest was the Possibilities Wall, where guests were invited to respond to the prompt: 
 “What is something you wish someone would have told you when you were ready to chase your dreams?” 

The responses were heartfelt, honest, and inspiring, offering words of wisdom from people of all walks of life. From messages of resilience and courage to reminders of self-worth and perseverance, the canvases became a living tapestry of encouragement and hope. 

These powerful reflections will be displayed at our Workforce Development Center in Bremerton, serving as a source of inspiration for job-seekers as they pursue their dreams and build bright futures.

From the silent auction to the shared stories, Fall Fest was more than just a fundraiser; it was a celebration of what’s possible when a community comes together.
